Description

The Custodial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly
environment throughout the facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring
workspaces, common areas, and outdoor grounds are wellmaintained. The ideal
candidate is reliable, detailoriented, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and facility care.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Perform routine building cleaning, including dusting, sweeping, mopping,
    vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
  • Operate floorscrubbing machines and other custodial equipment to maintain
    floors, hallways, and hightraffic areas.
  • Clean windows, walls, and surfaces to maintain appearance and sanitization
    standards.
  • Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.

Groundskeeping

  • Maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, entryways, parking areas, and
    landscaped spaces.
  • Perform seasonal groundskeeping tasks such as snow/ice removal, leaf cleanup,
    and debris removal.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all facility safety policies, including chemical handling and equipment
    operation procedures.
  • Report safety hazards, maintenance needs, or unusual conditions promptly.

General Support

  • Assist with setup and cleanup for facility events or meetings.
  • Secure and lock buildings as needed to support operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support facility cleanliness and operational
    needs.
  • Assist Maintenance Technician with various projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial, facilities, or maintenance experience preferred but not
    required.
  • Ability to safely operate custodial and groundskeeping equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean work environment.
  • 21+ years of age or older
  • Able to pass a background check and finger print prior to hire

Work Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor work in a variety of conditions.
  • Use of cleaning chemicals and equipment with appropriate protective gear
    provided.

Compensation & Benefits

– Pay: $18/hr
